Language selection empty, hindering login

Describe the bug
Sometimes the language selection box on the login screen is empty so that the "next" button is inactive, hindering login and use of the app altogether.

To Reproduce
Unclear, maybe related to default browser language

Expected behavior
The box should show all languages for which translations exist in the i18n folder.

Suggested dirty fix
Enable the "next" button regardless of whether a language was selected and use English as the default language.

I'm going to give this task to https://swe-agent.com/ and it will produce a patch file that we should test. It will also produce a lengthy log file of its analysis, reasoning and solution approach.

OK here's the files, I'm not sure the edits are correct, but the ideas are probably correct to implement the suggested dirty fix. The root cause is not found however, it seems. Please test!

I'm skeptical about the above solution (which used GPT-4 and cost $6), so I retried with Claude-Sonnet-3.5 (which cost only $1) and got this solution. Please look at this as well. I think it might have overdone it....
