From ~ November 2008, RTS2 contains modified INDI libraries, so you do not need
to worry about passing right parameters to ./configure anymore. After make &&
make install, you shall have rts2-indi in /usr/local/bin and typing
rts2-indi -h
will get you list of supported command line options.
For INDI driver to work you have two choices. you will need to follow this instructions:
1) Local setup
-----------
For kstars 3 and bellow, you will need to add following to
devGroup="Telescopes" in /usr/share/apps/kstars/drivers.xml:

<Exec>indi_rts2</Exec>
<Version>0.1</Version>
</device>
For kstars 4 and up, you will need to add following to
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kstars/drivers.xml:
<ScopeDrivers>
... your drivers
<driver>indi_rts2</driver>
</ScopeDrivers>
<devGroup group="Telescopes">
... your devices
<device label="RTS2" focal_length="" aperture="">
<name>RTS2 INDI</name>
<driver>rts2-indi</driver>
<version>0.1</version>
</device>

Following is common to all version of KStars:
Now you need to create /usr/bin/indi_rts2 with following context:

/home/petr/rts2/src/indi/rts2-indi -t T0
You should replace T0 with name of your telescope device (see
/etc/rts2/devices). Then chmod a+x /usr/bin/indi_rts2
and select RTS2 driver in in INDI Device Manager, and you shall be able to move
your scope, see its status in INDI Control pannel, and so on.
2) Network setup
-------------
Create the file indi_rts2 as described above. On the host
where the RTS2 telescope driver is running issue
indiserver /usr/local/bin/indi_rts2
Use an INDI client, e.g. kstars or xephem, and connect to this indiserver
as usual.
