Hi there, you've made a wonderful work!
Don't you think it'd be time though to lay down the newer genres that are already established by now like both 3rd waves of (Orthodox: think DsO and its clones) Black Metal and (Atmospheric: Ulcerate and its followers) Death? There's also the whole wave of post-punk/noise influenced bands playing Post-Black like Deafheaven and the like. Or the revivalist genres like retro-thrash, doom, and heavy (though perhaps those are lacking in transcendence towards their own genres).

I would be open to any suggestions but I don't have the time these days to do the research needed.

If you are keen to contribute the information that would be amazing but it would require the following:

  • Name of genre
  • Short description of genre or link to a description of the genre
  • Decade that genre began - 80s, 90s, 00s, etc...
  • List of tracks exemplifying the genre on YouTube (at least 4, ideally 8-10)
