Hunter is suitably smart; animal is surprisingly smart. Could be neat if animal made choices based only on local information, without the absolute shortest path. Tried dead ends, went dumb ways.
Might be worth having the Animal move first; the Hunter would need to go faster (or 2 cells every n iterations; better to do 2 cells every iteration with some probability, so it's variable)
Having the fast forward button be the default style of play (or a mode of play)
The animal should move away from the Hunter, definitely not move onto the Hunter's space
