Currently the extension does not indicate when active tools are overwriting each other. Some options to indicate this would be strikethrough (as suggested in the original thread) or maybe through the diagnostics API (yellow squiggly underline) but I'd prefer to leave this last one for when we have a language server capable of fully parsing the files.
A good first step is to check whether the order of the tools in the active tools display reflects the actual processing order in the playback.
