Using a free open source alternative #2
Comments
Of course, I know phpList, I met them at OSCAL :P It could be an option in the future but currently we don't have the money (and the time/energy to host it and maintain it ourselves) and Mailchimp provides for free what we need. I don't see any API though ... and that's the whole point of this app :) |
Hey @jbelien, @rskikuli pointed me here. Docs on the existing phpList Hosted API here: https://www.phplist.com/knowledgebase/phplist-api/. Additional REST API in development. We provide gratis accounts on phpList.com for Open Source projects ("Floss accounts"). Message me direct, or customer support, and we can set it up for you. |
Hello @samtuke and thanks for joining ! I'll have a look at the SOAP API ! Thanks a lot for proposing your help :) |
@jbelien Awesome. This might be of interest regarding intro to REST API: https://www.phplist.org/phplist-4-update/ Hopefully the next phpList release (Dec 11th) will include a new automatic updater which handles both phpList 3 and phpList 4 upgrades together. In following releases that will allow easy deployment of REST API updates to existing self-hosted installations of phpList 3. |
Holy shit, phpList 4 looks like a MAJOR improvement ! Well done ! |
@jbelien Glad you think so! Mainly thanks to past work of @oliverklee. |
Have you considered phpList @jbelien ? It is open source and quite improved lately. Have a look: https://www.phplist.com/
