you can create your render file then your map can be nearly empty but in current menu "configure map" you can switch off some details ... |

I presume the 'stuff to show' amount is a 2D graph based on amount and zoom distance, and i want to adjust that, because when im zoomed out and looking at the whole country, this stupid thing still renders the hundreds of smaller cities that arent noteworthy to mention unless you're going there, in which case, you will zoom in further.
As for closer zoom distances, it shows a lot of random junk for no reason, like jewish stars for jewish temples. No, i didnt ask to see them, and its not just them, but im using this as an example because thats the last meaningless clutter i remember seeing. In the past it was doing it with fire hydrants, and you can imagine how many of those are there in a city.
In short, let us control how much shit gets shown depending on zoom. This thing is too cluttered and i only have POI's on, for like the ten things i have personally marked.
Also, all this garbage slows down the loading. The offline maps are slow enough as is, taking anywhere between 3-5 seconds to load on a phone thats like two years old. Ridiculous. Yes, the files are on the internal storage, (even though the previous folder was also on the internal storage and yet it was significantly slower), and yes, i do have openGL on. Its still too slow.
Why cant we just download the pre-rendered maps anyway. What is the gigabytes worth of maps i have worth, if they are painfully slow? I dont have five seconds to wait every time i scroll half a screen....
