Wiki-style links, e.g., [[link]] and asset creation

Has there been discussion regarding the use of wiki-style links, e.g., [[link to resource]] to create resources? For example, with logseq, adding a link to a resource that doesn't exist allows you to click through and create the resource (similar to a wiki). Trying that with memos results in a missing resource error.

I realize I can sort of create the effect I'm looking for (a sort of "meta page" that allows me to describe the think that I'm using the tag for) by creating tagged entries with that intent, but the logseq/wiki way has less friction. I can just write with reckless abandon and then go back and fill in concepts I've linked to but not filled out.

My terminology may be incorrect, but I'm not referring to an image but to a "page" or an entry. For example, if I'm scribbling down notes about Memos in logseq and I inserted [[note-taking]] in the paragraph, that would create a wiki-style empty page that I could then go and edit. As a side note, in logseq #note-taking and [[note-taking]] are functionally equivalent, so the page you go to for a tag can contain arbitrary "meta-content" about that tag.

I don't mind losing the outliner or blocks in Memos because I can treat each note as an outline entry, but I'm having difficulty figuring out how best to network what I write. (And, anticipating a potential response, I'm trying to move way from logseq because I feel like the project is moving further away from its simple note-taking roots, likely for monetization reasons.)
