Error: no container with name or ID "pihole" found: no such container

Whenever I tried to update or install Pi-hole I would get this message. I gave up in the end. Anyone else had this and resolved it? Tried removing Pi-hole image and that didn't work although it did first time (I think but did so much tinkering I can't be sure).
