Getting instance or a new one

Is there a method to quickly get an instance if it exists or create a new one if not?

To avoid this kind of code too often:

const tooltipInstance = Tooltip.getInstance(this.fileUploadButtonTarget) || new Tooltip(this.fileUploadButtonTarget);
