Motivation:
The current text editor has rich input although my understanding is that it doesn't allow to insert data from records inline.
Ideally, one would want to take notes (and this may also extend to internal messaging) that reflect pointers to records as well as tagging users so they are aware an action is to be taken.

Case scenarios:

• Note taking during a meeting
  -- Cite names of Contacts
  -- Cite Products they would be interested in
  -- Mention organization member who needs to read that

An example of how this is implemented with Salesforce is Dooly.ai

Not going to enter into data privacy comments for the time being. Some ideas there for implementation and compliance to be validated later on.
