I like @mgautierfr arguments at openzim/warc2zim#228 (comment)

I would suggest to :

  • very significantly simplify the .gitignore on the bootstrap
    • we should definitely remove the macos part
    • I even think that including Python exceptions on every .gitignore of every repositories makes very little sense
  • very strongly encourage users to properly setup their git configuration based on their editor
