Past item list clean up

not sure what you call this list, but the already used items, when they come up, is there a way to multi select and delete so that we can clean up that list of unwanted items, verses having to go one by one, long press, and click remove perm?

and if not... could there be a way to do this? like maybe an edit previous items list.. or whatever you want to call it.
