Feature request - App Online Status

New feature request:

Add a small icon (preferably a small color filled circle) on top of the app screen indicating (by changing its color) whenever iOS app is really connected to the openHAB server or not. The dot/icon should not be disturbing to the user but clearly visible on every screen (left-top corner or next to the sitemap name?).

I would like to see it in appropriate color:
GREEN - less than 5 seconds from last server response
ORANGE - 5-30 seconds from the last server response
RED - no response from the server in the past 30 sec.

The above values would require some tweaking for sure. Maybe they should be available in the settings, because they might be site specific.

My current work around is like this: I'm using a time variable taken directly from my PLC controller displayed as a first item on the screen. If I see that seconds are changing - that means I'm connected and therefore all my on-screen data is current. If not, I need to refresh the page.

This is a great suggestion. I would add: when the app is not connected it should not be possible to push switches etc on the sitemap, as creates uncertainty as to the current state of the system.

Sounds good, connections status on the top + disabling all the switches if app is not connected.

I would second this suggestion as well as a way to differentiate whether you were connected to the remote url or the local url. I now with the home assistant app themes can be used for instant to switch the colors depending on how the client is connected?
