Due to an unexpectedly high maintenance workload in the past few quarters, the OpenFF Governing Board has set (fairly generous) caps on the amount of resources we’ll devote to BespokeFit. We’re restricting support to only:

  • Bug reports that reproduce in at most 2 hours on a single machine (we recommend that bug reporters use a fast ML-based method, a minimal fragment of their molecule, and non-distributed execution)
  • At most 30 engineer-hours per month for both maintenance and support, prioritized as:
    • partner user support first
    • then maintenance
    • then non-partner user support

The OpenFF infrastructure team is continuing with the “no new features” plan as agreed upon in our roadmap (just performing package maintenance and bugfixes).

Note that the ASAP Discovery project has write access and may be adding new features for their purposes. OpenFF doesn’t make any guarantee of scope or timeline for the completion of those features.
