OEB currently reads:

"Now there was in their Synagogue at the time a man under the power of a foul spirit, who called out:"

"Under the power of" seems unnecessarily wordy and euphemistic for a paraphrased rendering. I'd suggest the more straightforward, "possessed by":

"Now there was in their Synagogue at the time a man possessed by a foul spirit, who called out:"
