Interruption of assistant in VAD mode not working

In VAD mode it seems you cannot interrupt the assistant. It makes a short break, but then keeps on going.

When I interrupted the assistant, it stopped talking, but then I couldn't continue the conversation. I tried saying 'continue', tried switching from VAD to manual and back again, and it still didn't continue the conversation.
