Downward pointing objective with the z stage

Hi,

Is it possible for the objective to point downwards with the current z stage design? Will it be possible to just flip the holder and the objective and still use the screw to hang the objective?

Hi Jerry,

In theory this should be easily possible - you just need to insert the objective mount into the Z-stage in the 180° flipped orientation. There's no reason why it shouldn't work. However, we never tried it in any setup so I'd be curious to know how it worked out for you 🙂
