If 'compass' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the package that contains it, like this:
    cnf compass

ok, i just find the soltuion with yast from https://software.opensuse.org/package/ruby2.1-rubygem-compass.
In yast enter 'ruby2.5-rubygem-compass' and compass is correctly installed,and works,
