In order to enable communication from inside the AWS region, since we would like to have IP based access control in addition to password based authentication, we need a long running EC2 instance that acts as a clickhouse proxy.

Work related to this is implemented in the following PR: #140

@DecFox will move the missing ansible related configs over to the above PR from: #119.

The next steps for this are:

  • Deploy this in dev
  • Test that the ECS services that need clickhouse are able to use it via the proxy
  • Deploy it in prod

This is related to getting this up and running: #139
