Perhaps I am missing something, but the main branch doesn't allow authentication. There is no option to login, which means that the sidebar and links aren't showing because they require authentication.

You have to type in http://localhost:<YOUR_PORT>/login, then type in whatever login you want. You will then be served the page with full functionality.
