ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application that allows users to quickly build visualizations to analyze their data using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The data exploration can be done interactively in 3D or programmatically using ParaView’s batch processing capabilities. ParaView was developed to analyze extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources.
OLCF provides ParaView server installs on Andes and Summit to facilitate large scale distributed visualizations. The ParaView server running on Andes and Summit may be used in a headless batch processing mode or be used to drive a ParaView GUI client running on your local machine.
This beginner friendly tutorial will provide an overview of how to access ParaView at OLCF and how to use ParaView to visualize different datasets on Andes.
