Please hide the obsidian-task warning when toggling tasks that are in callouts in Live Preview.

obsidian-tasks-plugin warning: Tasks cannot add or remove completion dates or make the next copy of a recurring task for tasks written inside a callout when you click their checkboxes in Live Preview. If you wanted Tasks to do these things, please undo your change, then either click the line of the task and use the "Toggle Task Done" command, or switch to Reading View to click the checkbox.

The long text too long to hide my normal work. Hide it! Please!

Hi, you can make the warning (or any other Obsidian popup like that) disappear by clicking on it!

Also, if you have any suggestions for making the message shorter or easier to understand, I would be happy to see them.

I had wondered if we might get complaints about this. I suggest waiting to see if we get more feedback before deciding what to do.

Options I can think of include:

Changing the message in some way:

• Adding a line at the bottom of the message telling users they can click on the message to make it go away
• Putting a hyperlink in the message to the docs, then the wording can be shortened
• Only showing the message if the task completed is a recurring task
• If it's a non-recurring task, and the user has turned off the setting to add the Done date, they too won't need the message

Changing other parts of the code

• Changing the code so that it can find the correct task line, by searching for the task in the file and completing that (this will be useful in some other situations too, including the occasional issue where the wrong task currently gets completed)
• Provided a UI setting to turn the message off.

Thank you for you reply. This message is order to reminder what the add completed task data function doesn't not work. I mean if the good advices have too many times to show, it must be noise! I'm not care about add completed task data on my callout. And I use it on preview mode. It mean that click the tasks on preview and it doesn't add completed tasks data. So I report the issue. I wonder, maybe, add the function off the message if it is easy to achieve. Thanks again.

I think you are saying you would be happy with the ability to turn off the message altogether.

Please add a vote for me to turn this message off. In my case they are not actual Tasks. I have my actual Tasks requiring TODO at the start. I have a callout section in my DailyNote that has habit tracking check boxes and this message pops up every single time I click on one of my habits, again not even a real task. On mobile the message takes up 40% of my screen. I do love this plugin by the way. It is truly amazing and thanks so much for making it.

Yes. But that alone does not magically make it happen.

Right now I get this warning on non-recurring tasks that are not matching the Tasks query with "set Done date" turned off, which is not how it should work

It sounds like you may not have read the linked issue - the point is that Obsidian gives no info to enable Tasks to find the line where the task is.
