Upload screen error

After installation on my MacOS (M2), I was able to navigate to http://localhost/nomad-oasis . However I am unable to upload anything. I have tried on both Safari and Chrome, and both give me the following error when I navigate to the "Your Uploads" page:

"Unexpected error: "[object Object] (500)". Please try again and let us know, if this error keeps happening."

There is no other text on the screen (other than the header and 'loading...' below it).
