What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to open a port to a virtual serial port (ie ftdi on Arduino)
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect it to open COM10 for example, instead "cannot open COM10, make sure the
port is avaialable and not in use by another application"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

A'm using Arduino Leonardo connected to a 6DOF IMU from DFR Robot same specs as
FreeIMU 6DOF, on Windows 8, Arduino latest IDE v1.5 to date.

On Serialchart I have open the demo a demo file and match the COM Port with the
Arduino and then click the run button - dialog box appear "Connot connect"

Only current fix is to chance the COM port to a smaller number.
