Proper way to track Errors

hi,

I'm implementing ELF in a current project and i wonder what's the best path or if there's any ELF function that may be used to track errors, example if i generate a new record, by calling a service, and i want to present an error in the template if the action was completed InError is there a current pattern that the elf team recommend for the correct use of the state?
