Clicking a conversation link from the same instance in the chat as a guest breaks

Steps to reproduce

1. As userA create 4 conversations
   i. Public1
   ii. Public2
   iii. Public with password
   iv. Group conversation
2. Post the conversation link of ii, iii and iv to i
3. Open i in a private browser
4. Click on each conversation link

Expected behaviour

New tab opens so you don't loose your chat

Actual behaviour

Tries to join the other room which doesn't work for guests.
