Description

The scan feature allows to scan documents using the camera. The scan feature has no option to scan documents from existing images (camera roll). There is an option when opening an image in the Nextcloud app to save it as scan, but when doing this, the scan adjustment options (flexible cropping) are not available.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Nextcloud Files app
2. Press the + button and select 'Scan Document'

Expected behaviour

Being able to select existing images from files (camera roll).

Actual behaviour

Only taking pictures is possible to add & adjust a scan.

Reasoning or why should it be changed/implemented?

• More flexibility
• No other scan app required if to be scanned documents are only available digitally

@MoritzDPTV Go in camera roll (example) and copy the image, go to in iOS Scan document, long press on + and paste the image

Interesting approach, but this only adds them to the final scan. It should be possible to include images at the earlier scan stage, where the corners can be selected and the image will be stretched accordingly.

Thank you for the fast deployment of this request!
The new interface option to edit the scans/images works fine. Unfortunately, it is opening a different editor than the one available when scanning a document using the camera. There would be no problem with it if the essential feature of the scan app would not be missing in this different editor: Selecting the 4 flexible corners of the document and stretch/crop the corner according to these corners. Also for camera scans, it would be nice to be able to edit the scan again with the options originally available during the scanning.

Could you reopen this issue? I still experience that the scan from existing files requires the proper scan editor/edit options.
