I've not done https://docs.nextcloud.com/desktop/3.4/troubleshooting.html#create-debug-archive. Is it necessary for this?

@RokeJulianLockhart no
can you test using the official linux package AppImage ?
especially testing the latest release would be very important

@mgallien, it remains in https://fedora.pkgs.org/40/fedora-updates-x86_64/nextcloud-client-3.13.4-2.fc40.x86_64.rpm.html:

Image

Consequently, I evaluated the .AppImage: https://github.com/nextcloud-releases/desktop/releases/latest is 301'd to https://github.com/nextcloud-releases/desktop/releases/tag/v3.14.1, so I tried https://github.com/nextcloud-releases/desktop/releases/download/v3.14.1/Nextcloud-3.14.1-x86_64.AppImage.

It renders identically:

Relevantly, invoking the .AppImage from the Firefox download flyout, and then exiting NC from the system tray, caused Firefox to hang until it crashed: see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1585332#c24:
