⚠️ This issue respects the following points: ⚠️

  • This is a bug, not a question or a configuration/webserver/proxy issue.
  • This issue is not already reported on Github (I've searched it).
  • Nextcloud Server is up to date. See Maintenance and Release Schedule for supported versions.
  • Nextcloud Server is running on 64bit capable CPU, PHP and OS.
  • I agree to follow Nextcloud's Code of Conduct.

Bug description

Error: "Can't update non existing placeholder info"

image

I don't know how to solve the issue. Looks like the files are there, but I don't understand what is wrong. The message is very technical I don't understand what I can do to fix the problem.

Another sync message I have sometimes is "files conflicts" but I manage to fix it by choosing one of the versions (it is weird both files are identical, so I don't get the point of the conflict).

Could you please guys make sure those issues can be solved somehow automatically, as this is very annoying and nobody including me understands what it is all about.

The nextcloud could be a very nice tool but there are many things everywhere which are designed only for programmers, not for average users. Please make nextcloud more reliable and user friendly.

If this error message could describe a problem in human language and give some instruction how to solve it I would be very grateful.

Thanks.
