Hi,
First: Deck is a great App.

I tried to share a Deck with someone on an other Nextcloud instance.
Is it planed to add the federated feature?
To share a deck between more Nextcloud instances?

Thanks a lot,
Michael

@danicotillas Please use the Github Reactions feature instead of commenting that also need a specific feature. That way we can see your support without notifying all users subscribed to a given issue.

Thanks for your request @Espo02 This is definitely something we want to have at some point.

Circles support was added, which is a good first step since the Circles app does include Federation support. This does not solve this request, but it is certainly a good step!

Any updates on this?
It seems like a very important feature to collaborate across instances!
What would be necessary to make Deck work with federation, or the Circles app like @sunjam mentioned?

Honestly, I just expected this to work out of the box since this is an official app and I thought federative sharing is the default for all sharing.

We have a big server for a few hundred of thousand people. They would like to use Deck on it... but we use federation of multiple instances. Without federation support, our users will never be sure Deck is able to collaborate, as federation is transparent for them.
Is it planned to add this feature?

Hi,
We also really need this feature.
To the Nextcloud/Deck team:
We would be interested to contribute to this feature.
Do you know how much money you need to implement this feature ?

Yours,

Baptiste Denaeyer

If you have an enterprise subscription please reach out to your account manager. In case you don't I'd suggest to reach out via https://nextcloud.com/enterprise/. Then this could be pushed to product management. Outside of the enterprise subscription there is no direct funding for feature requests from our side.

For paid development there might also be the option to find someone in https://help.nextcloud.com/c/nextcloud-freelancing/48

Does the missing interoperability of decks across federated instances mean, that users in a Global Scale environment cannot have projects together?

Is there any way to financially contribute to this project without using the Enterprise version?

Federation support through circles is at this pull request, but afaik it will need reworking due to changes in circles over the last couple years.
