This is not a very urgent issue, but it would be a useful change to have. Currently, to enter an interlinear gloss with gex each word/morpheme needs to be hand-aligned. Also, you have to alternative between original language and gloss when entering which can make entry very slow.
Tools like Leipzig.js and the gb4e package for LaTeX handle this in a much more user-friendly manner (they auto-align by splitting at spaces, and have a way to escape spaces too). I'm not sure if this is in the capabilities of Django macros though.
