I was wondering if you had an easy way to convert a domtblout file to a tblout file. I ran hmmscan with domtblout as the output option, but I actually needed the tblout option for some downstream processes. How can I convert the format? OR... do I need to run the Pfam search again with tblout option.
Thanks
Abhijit

@sanyalab : I don't have an easy way of doing that. You may want to rerun your searches, or you may be able to convert it depending on which fields from the --tblout file you need. See pages 67 to 72 of the hmmer user's guide for a description of the fields in the tblout and domtblout files. It looks like there are some fields in the tblout file that are not in the domtblout file: http://eddylab.org/software/hmmer/Userguide.pdf
Thanks for replying. I'll just rerun it then. Simpler solution. Btw can we get both outputs from a single hmmer run Or are these formats mutually exclusive
