Love the name. What exactly is led-server?

led stands for lightweight event-driven. The aim is to build the most lightweight, lowest footprint, high performance http server, based on the same principles that power node.js, tornado, or netty in Java. It is implemented in Java 7, profiting from the latest additions to NIO.
