Hi there,

I have replicated your velux remote and it is able to control my velux shutters. I'm finding the velux responds haphazardly so I was wondering a few questions:

1- How far do you have the remote from the shutter?
2- Did you need to tweak your timing in order for the shutter to work correctly?
3- Do you need to multi press a command in order for the device to response?

I'm trying to figure out how to make the responses more consistent.

Thanks

Hi,

The device is plugged to USB. I have it two rooms a way from my velux window. It's working with out any problems.

I have a solar battery velux window. It needs a sec to react but this was the same as with remote.

I use it in home assistant as cover , just as normal one

So maybe you have a short circuit somewhere.
You can manually close the switch with some jumper wires an see how it behaves.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll recheck the connections and give the manual switching a go.

Check if you not accidentally connected inner and outer circle on the remote board.

I found out the stop button's pad had come off. Fortunately I have removed this from the code and the remote is working great now. Thanks for the advice and prompt response. Appreciate you sharing this project!
