With a configured proxy server it appears that Covergence does not use the proxy server to establish the connections to the notaries resulting in "Connectivity Failure" when viewing details of the "Covergence Certificate Verification Failure"

Browser: Firefox 8.0
OS: Vista 32bit
Proxy Server: BlueCoat Proxy SG

Is your proxy HTTP or SOCKS?
