Preparing for POC: Ensuring Technical Readiness to Assess Carbon Footprint #8739
Comments
Current Cost and Usage report that we have in Modernisation Platform is not fit for purpose. The one we have now has total cost per customer, where as Greenpixie needs resource ID of each resource, in Mod Platform with hourly time granularity, so a new script needs to be written to get this going. Currently researching options on the best way to get all resource ID's for a cost and usage report across all our accounts |
I have generated an excel file in example account via the console. Still waiting for what i deployed via code. It takes up 24 hours for the cur to be delivered to amazon S3. |
create report in master, S3 bucket has been created by Ewa... look at how often the report updates. |
Prepared a report for security team to see an output of the POC we will be sending to Greenpixie. Curently working on creating a POC document that we will send to Greenpixie. Having a meeting today with Ewa to see what was done when i was on annual leave and i will finish off the work thats needed for POC |
User Story
As a DevOps Engineer
I need/want/expect to make sure as a team we are technically prepared for POC to measure the Modernisation Platform Carbon footprint
This will enable us to launch the POC without delay once the success criteria are agreed upon and stakeholders have given their approval.
Value / Purpose
We are currently in discussions with Greenpixie and Sopht about conducting a proof of concept (POC) to measure the carbon footprint of the Modernisation Platform. While we await approval and the agreement on success criteria from internal stakeholders, it is wise to begin organizing everything we need on our end to ensure the POC can commence without any additional delays.
