Available Tools Policies and Frameworks

This page lists all the available tools, runtime policies, and frameworks that are developed atop of rDSN, which can be leveraged by almost all rDSN applications. Note the framework themselves are also developed on atop of rDSN and benefit from the other two, which are built using rDSN's Tool API.

• nativerun: native runtime for online usage
• simulator: runtime for development with replay capability

Toollets

• tracer: task-level flow tracing
• profiler: task-level profiling
• fault-injector: network, disk, computation fault injection

Runtime policies

• admission controllers: traffic throttling

Distributed Frameworks

• perfect failure detector: monitor node liveness
• replication: turn a single node service into a partitioned and replicated service
