Hi everyone,

We are seeing the issue below when testing the API Manifest generation with Kiota. The API Manifest file is created, but it is empty (0 bytes).

This is on Windows, .NET 8.0.300, Kiota version 1.14.0+fc4b39c65d89f7bfc8c7f1813c197e95e206da09

Strangely, on MacOS, we get the same warnings but not the critical error, and the API Manifest is correctly generated.

Thanks for trying the preview experience and for reporting this.
The error message is probably thrown around here
From looking at this warning OpenAPI warning: #/ - A servers entry (v3) or host + basePath + schemes properties (v2) was not present in the OpenAPI description. The root URL will need to be set manually with the request adapter. it looks like your description doesn't have any server defined. Can you try defining a server? example

Thanks Vincent, we are going to see if we can add a server property to our OpenAPI definitions, but in general they don't have one. Is this field mandatory to generate the client? i.e. here it triggers a critical error and fails the generation. And it doesn't happen on MacOS :-)

Thank you for this additional information. This is an interesting finding. Are you 100 percent sure that the descriptions are identical whenever you use kiota on Windows and on Mac OS? If so we might have path management issue at play here which triggers this behavior.

Just as an update to anyone else who might be reading this. This message came from an outdated dependency which has been upgraded #5227 (available with the latest preview release from yesterday)
