Issue creating my pull request in Github

Hi everybody, would be grateful if you could help me with this query, I just finished customizing the project code after duplicating the template. However, to complete the final forms asked me the second link which is the pull request from the repository, when I wanted to send it I realized that it is empty and does not allow me to create one. Could you confirm if that's why I didn't fork instead of duplicating the template directly? or if I have to re-create everything again :') . Thank you.
The clue that I receive was:
" The second link should lead to a GitHub page that says, “Update the game over message” and have a purple button labeled “Merged” under it.
