We are building support for filter-band PSRFITS results into baseband-tasks, but it would be good to also support baseband PSRFITS data, more logically in baseband itself. A C-baed pipeline to possibly compare with that transforms VDIF to PSRFITS is https://github.com/xuanyuanstar/vdif2psrfits
