If the symlink target is another symlink, this gets resolved and the real physical location is used instead. I think this is surprising behavior. Instead, the symlink target should be minimally modified.

  • Resolve ~ because otherwise it would make dotstree unsuable
  • Definitely do not resolve symlinks
  • Maybe don't even do absolute paths, to allow linking between sibling specs
