Bug Description

I had installed mirrord in the wsl vscode, a couple of hours earlier. Everything was as expected, the "downloading binaries" message, and the activate mirrord button at the bottom.

After a while, nature called and I went to the 🚽 , when coming back my computer had entered sleep (windows sleep). Logged back in, and saw that the "downloading binaries" message had popped up again, which is weird. But the weirdest part is that the activate mirrord button had disappeared! The mirrord extension still shows as installed, no errors and no other notifications were shown.

Maybe it's some interaction with extensions that also change the bottom bar? I have vsspacecode installed, and vim mode, both keep modifying the bottom bar to show commands.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install mirrord in vscode wsl;
  2. Let it be for a while, don't close vscode;
  3. Go to the 🚽 ;
  4. Come back to your windows sleeping;
  5. Button has disappeared.

Restarting vscode solves the problem, but it's weird that this happens.

I'd expect this to be an upstream issue, as we "just register the button" and don't really maintain showing it or anything like that.
