I have an issue about the No pairwise baseline
I think it is not similar to Social LSTM, the Sum operation doesn't preserve the spatial information
I wonder why NP network works?
Thank you very much

Hi, while the Social LSTM does preserve some spatial information, it loses spatial information through the social pooling operation (for neighbors within a certain spatial distance). Similarly, the No-Pairwise baseline sums together the contributions of the neighbors within a certain spatial distance from the focus object without preserving the spatial information. As you can see from our simulation videos (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BxCJLi4FnT_6QW4tcF94d1doLWs), the NP does not perform nearly as well as the NPE.
