Download or buffer mpd-stream

I used to download the games with help of a script that runs ffmpeg in the background since my internet connection is very slow so that streaming is no option for me.
Does anyone know if there is a way to download the stream?
I managed to get the '.mpd'-file, tried youtube-dl, wget but nothing has worked out so far.
Or is there a way to let Kodi buffer whole games? Then I could start the stream in the morning and watch it when I get home from work.

I don't have an answer for you I'm afraid, I believe the Add-Ons creators are currently trying to sort this problem since the NBA changed the stream type.

I'm curious about the scripts you use for this though. Is this something you've created yourself? I'd love to have an option to download the games to watch on my Boxee Box rather than stream them via my Fire TV Stick / KODI and this Add-On.
