Motivation

Adding a "Display Lounge" would give visibility to outstanding or recent projects created by the community, encouraging collaboration and inspiring new ideas. This section would highlight innovative uses of MATLAB and Simulink, providing other users with examples to learn from and motivating them to contribute.

Description

The "Display Lounge" would be a dedicated section within the Project Hub. It could feature:

  • Recent Projects: A list of recently added projects to showcase the latest contributions.
  • Top Projects: A curated selection of high-quality or innovative projects.
  • Featured Projects: Projects that demonstrate unique applications or advanced functionality in MATLAB and Simulink.
Each project featured in the Display Lounge would include a short description, relevant tags, contributor credits, and a link to the project.

Implementation Details:

  • Create a new README or a HTML Website or other ways to nicely display different projects
  • Define criteria for showcasing projects, such as recent contributions, community feedback, or innovation.
  • Consider creating a submission or nomination process where contributors can suggest projects for display.

Additional Contect

  • Project Examples: Any notable projects that could initially be featured in the Display Lounge.
  • Templates: Examples of similar display sections in other GitHub repositories for inspiration.

Hi Jakub, thank you for the great idea!
We have actually been thinking about ways to highlight outstanding submissions! It is encouraging to know that this aligns with what others also find important. While we were exploring different avenues to link submission repositories, incorporating a dedicated section with descriptions and videos to this repository sounds like an excellent enhancement. We truly appreciate feedback from students, so please feel free to share more suggestions as they arise.

Hey Roberto, thank you for the answer!
Do you accept contributions "from outside" for this repository?
If so, do you have any suggestions regarding the format (Markdown, HTML) of this 'Display Lounge'?

Jakub

Good question. Short answer is no, as this repository is part of the MathWorks org and I personally cannot give write access to external people. However, you can fork this repository and create a pull request later.
