a short term goal is to have searchable graphic novels, even if they are manually transcribed into a script that is just manually inserted/interleaved into the epub/html of each chapter.
a longer term goal would be to enable transcription by showing the chapter and letting users annotate the speech bubbles (with OCR being a low priority, since manual review/editing would probably be necessary either way)

Manually transcribed graphic novels that are bundled as an epub with a table of contents will be handled just fine by the book processor and search. We might need to introduce additional styles to the standard set in order to allow a more script-like appearance (one column dedicated to the character names and one for their text).
A transcription helper would certainly be a useful tool, but definitely is very low priority right now.
