Request : add information and steps on How to Update running RNS to latest version

I don't seem to find that in the manual and I want to update to the latest version on some nodes. the default install guide does not seem to work on just updating.

I suppose it all depends on how the initial install was performed. The documented install process covers installing Reticulum using pip, so the update process is the same as updating any other package through pip. If you installed Reticulum by compiling from source, then you would update by pulling the new source and recompiling. If you installed Reticulum using another package manager, like AUR, yum, apt (I don't know if any of these actually apply) then you would update using that package manager. Covering all possible situations in one document would be quite verbose, but if you installed using pip, then it's just a matter of adding the --upgrade flag.

Ok thank you for that, it is just 1 simple command but could not find it in the manual. All other install options you mention are descibed for a fresh install, adding this 1 command to the manual would not hurt I think. In my case the command that worked on Ubuntu 22.04 is
pip3 install --upgrade rns --break-system-packages
now it is version 0.8.9 that is installed. Without the "--break-system-packages" i got an error.

I suggest reading up on how to use virtual environments with Python, rather than using --break-system-packages. Nothing in Reticulum needs to be installed at a system level, but you do you.
