[ ] One instance
is the top feature to do imo. Can't shortcut the app if it keeps spawning.

You want it to work from menubar/system tray right? If not please clarify the statement so that I cant start working on it.

Also, and that would imply the app would run only in 1 instance. So the app should not open new window when launched again. A keyboard shortcut can be then defined to open the same window quickly. Ideally, close too, but that would require shortcut handling by the app.
