On holding the key-bind for opening a new tab (default - Ctrl-T) the application freezes around 155-165 tabs (for me).

If anyone can confirm, is this a general bug or is it just happening with me.

I just tried from master, and it froze at 140. This is a very large amount of tabs, but the freezing is unexpected. Thanks, I'll look into this when I can. Anyone else is also welcome to take a look and let me know what they think.

I can make a PR if I'm able to track where it is coming from.

Sounds good! See if you can find anything, no worries if not.

Couldn't find much info but the Waiting Channel is futex_wait_queue_me. This seems to explain what is that - https://askubuntu.com/questions/19442/what-is-the-waiting-channel-of-a-process
If anyone knows what the issue might be, I am happy to discuss.
